As a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in primary care and pediatrics, she navigates the complexities of healthcare and academia with expertise and compassion.
Tracy's personal experiences have significantly influenced her professional trajectory. As a Black woman, she has confronted racism, systemic barriers, and biases. However, she has embraced her identity and experiences, leveraging them as catalysts for change. Through resilience and unwavering determination, she has overcome obstacles, achieving remarkable milestones in her career. Finding her voice, she has emerged as a powerful advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
In her pursuit of fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), Tracy has spearheaded initiatives aimed at cultivating inclusive environments. Guiding, mentoring, and sponsoring individuals from historically underserved groups in medicine, such as Black and Brown individuals, has been central to her efforts. By facilitating open discussions and shaping impactful policies, she tirelessly addresses systemic disparities and fosters dialogue that drives meaningful change. Moreover, Tracy has established avenues to empower marginalized communities, ensuring they receive the resources and support needed to thrive in medicine and education.

Beyond academia, Dr. Jackson has demonstrated exceptional leadership, serving as President of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSSPA), Diversity Chair, and contributing her expertise to various national organizations, including the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) Governance and Ethics Board and the CHIA Cultural Humility Item Writing Exam Board. A Health Resources & Service Administration (HRSA) Grant Reviewer, Dr. Jackson also holds a Cornell Diversity Equity and Inclusion Certificate. Her influence extends even further as a clinical administrator at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), where she actively shapes policies and patient care to address the needs of marginalized populations while nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals through mentorship.
Among her most rewarding endeavors was participating in Project Access, which equips high school students from underrepresented minoritized groups with the skills and knowledge to become competitive PA program applicants. Tracy also had the privilege of representing the PA profession in a congressional presentation on the Momnibus Act, addressing maternal health disparities and promoting diversity and representation in healthcare.
Through initiatives like these, Tracy spreads awareness and fosters representation in healthcare, leaving a lasting impact on communities. Her journey exemplifies the transformative power of perseverance. Despite facing hurdles, her unwavering dedication to her values propels her forward. Through advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion, she not only forges a successful career but also paves the way for others to find their voices and enact change in their communities.
